The Global Survey on Sustainable Lifestyles (GSSL) is a joint initiative of the Task Force on
Sustainable Lifestyles led by Sweden and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as a part
of the Marrakech Process on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP).
The GSSL aims at:
- inspiring young adults from all over the world, as well as exploring their views and
aspirations with regards to sustainable lifestyles; and
- providing recommendations to policy-makers and other stakeholders in the design for solutions
and policies that promote sustainable lifestyles.
The survey is targeted at young adults (18-35 years old) from all regions. It consists of an
online questionnaire that allows them to share their experience and expectations. By responding to
a series of short video scenarios on food, mobility and energy consumption, participants can also
share their vision for lifestyles in the future. The questionnaire can be accessed or downloaded in
English at

will also be available in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese and other languages.More
