An European information campaign on sustainable use of renewable materials and energies : Sunny campaign

News :

Sunny Campaign is an European information campaign on sustainable use of renewable materials and energies. The main aim of the campaign is to encourage European citizens to take active part in the process of transition to « zero-waste » Sunny economy.

Sunny Campaign is shielded by the Council of Europe and organised by Youth and Environment Europe, an international federation of youth organizations. The main current task is to create an European web of institutions and individuals working on the topic of renewables – NGOs, commercial companies, expert groups, students and municipalities – and inform people about existing environmental friendly and healthy alternatives in areas of energy, transport, eco-housing...The second task is to prepare a postcard book with the most effective examples of the renewable resources, materials and their adaptations (ecological houses, solar systems, alternative heating, alternative means of transport, etc.

The websites will contain: - general introduction to renewable energies (solar, wind, water, biomass, earth) and materials (vegetable oils, starch, fibers, chemicals) - a space for exchanging knowledge, skills and ideas - pages of each country in native language with interactive maps - links to partners webpages, contact list, calendar of events…

How can YOU JOIN ?

  1. Send us any pictures of successful implementation of your products using the alternative resources or materials (solar panels, eco houses …). We will use the best ones for our postcard book which we and our partners will hand out during our activities. Please join a short description to the picture (telling what and where it is).
  2. Become our partner - send us a brief introduction of your company. You can contribute to the website or take part in a sunny campaign day - a special event focused on renewable energies, connected for example with handing out the postcard books.
