Within the open method of coordination, the use of indicators is an essential instrument
allowing European countries to evaluate their performance in relation to others and monitor their
progress toward fulfilling the agreed upon Lisbon objectives for education and training. The
successful candidate will be working on the development of indicators on youth, non-formal learning
and citizenship Category 30 grantholder contracts are aimed at researchers holding a doctoral
degree or having fulfilled all the obligations to obtain a PhD (certified by their university) or
having a minimum of 5 years research experience after the first university degree giving access to
doctoral studies (which may include periods of training such as a masters degree), in a field
