The Bertelsmann Stiftung wants to support cities and municipalities in creating the adequate
general framework for the sociopolitical involvement of young people. This happens by: - creating
transparency about the present participation situation of young people, - showing and publishing
good practice for participation processes, - creating public awareness for the necessity to involve
young people in decision-making processes, - developing strategies for how young people can be
motivated to get involved, - developing and diseminating a model of reference for exemplary child
and youth participation in co-operation with selected local authorities, - pooling their
experiences and turn them into specific recommendations for action and passing them on to
decision-makers at local, regional and national level as well as to associations and
organisations. |
