The Partnership projects for 2007-2009

For the period 2007-2009 both partners agreed to continue and to enhance approved activities, to give results a high visibility and to intensify the partnership at all levels. For each year the two partners agree on a concrete work programme which is developed in accordance to objectives, needs and priorities and after consultation of the main stakeholders.

The workplan comprises the following priority activities:

• European Citizenship training courses are organised by the Partnership, in co-operation with the SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Center, and implemented by the network of National Agencies of the Youth in Action programme. The courses aim to support the professional development of youth workers and youth leaders by enabling them to better integrate European Citizenship in their youth work. 
• The development of a Training of trainers strategy leading to a renewal of quality in training youth workers and youth trainers within a non-formal education framework.
• Within the Euro-Mediterranean youth cooperation the Partnership organises regularly training activities on Human Rights Education and Citizenship. Intercultural dialogue activities include specific seminars and youth meetings, including within the University on Youth and Development. This work is complemented by activities in the region aimed at stimulating youth policy cooperation, notably in the areas of youth research and youth participation. 
• Seminars on Youth Policy development and co-operation in the Euro-Mediterranean region, in South-East Europe and in Eastern Europe and Caucasus form part of a series of events focusing on priority regions.
• In Youth research, the Partnership organizes thematic research seminars and workshops picking up the priority areas of youth policy and supports the development of the Masters Degree in European Youth Studies. It also continues in inviting the European network of youth researchers for joint discussions and exchange of views.
• The European Knowledge Centre on Youth Policy (EKCYP) is continuously further developed and the geographic coverage extended; quality standards are developed and adapted. The members of the network of correspondents related to the EKCYP meet regularly for an exchange on their duties.
