SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres
SALTO-YOUTH stands for “Support and Advanced Learning Opportunities - within the YOUTH in Action programme. It is a European network of 8 resource centres to support the quality in international youth projects (e.g. youth exchanges, European Voluntary Service, group initiatives, democracy projects, youth worker training,…), with a focus on those projects funded by the Youth in Action programme of the European Commission.
There are 8 SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres on different European Commission’s priority fields (from the youth field) and for the cooperation with neighbouring regions of the European Union. 
SALTO's Activities
The SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres offer the following support on the different priority topics and cooperation activities:
- Training courses, seminars and partnership-building activities for youth workers and youth leaders. SALTO lists an overview of European youth work training activities in the European Training Calendar
- Publications and manuals helping youth workers to set up international youth projects: from partnerfinding, preparation, fundraising, implementation, challenges & solutions.
- Developing and dissemination methods, tools and exercises for international youth work in the Toolbox for Training
- Making experienced youth work trainers available online in the Online for Youth (TOY) and provide them a platform for offering their expertise.
- Spreading information and resources regarding international youth work and European youth policy via the SALTO Newsletters
- Support for youth organisations and Youth in Action National Agencies within the European priority topics in the youth field.
